Prototyping Progress
Our new prototype is up and running! It delivers vibrations on all eight fingers, and while this version was 3D printed with PLA, held together by rubber bands, and stitched by hand, it has been instrumental in getting early feedback from users.
We built this version to explore comfort and ease of use while wearing the glove, as well as the user-experience of putting on the glove and using it for the recommended time. Now that we’ve secured our manufacturing partners, we’re moving forward with the next iteration—this time with higher-quality materials and a more refined production process. Next steps include reducing the size of the control unit, incorporating more user friendly and intuitive controls, and designing a sleeker, more comfortable glove that holds all the electronics together, all the while being durable and comfortable for the user.
