“The Glove” by Kinnections is a low-cost, wearable, non-invasive vibrotactile therapy tool designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, Essential Tremor and other neurological conditions improve motor function right from home. Inspired by research evidencing the use of focused vibration in the treatment of Parkinson’s, The Glove brings this science into an easy-to-use, wearable format—empowering users to manage symptoms from the comfort of home.
Users of The Glove By Kinnections have experienced the following benefits:
The Kinnections glove delivers gentle, randomized vibrations to 4 fingertips on both hands, inspired by research into coordinated reset stimulation, to help manage motor symptoms in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. The glove is not FDA-approved and is not classified as a medical device. It is intended as a wellness and assistive tool and should not replace professional medical treatment.
Our initial launch will be priced at 250 USD! From our donations, fundraising, and partnerships we hope to offer subsidized pricing for people unable to afford this.
The glove applies precise vibrotactile stimulation to each fingertip through embedded motors. This allows for controlled, distributed stimulation directly to areas that are closely tied to fine motor function and sensory pathways. The glove is also designed for longer, consistent sessions (typically 2 hours, twice daily), and can be worn passively. However, you may adjust based on comfort and your personal routine.
Yes! Our glove is designed as a non-invasive, low-risk supplementary tool and is not intended to replace or interfere with medical therapies. Every individual’s response may vary, especially when combining multiple treatment approaches. For that reason, we strongly recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before incorporating the glove into your routine. We have received positive anecdotal feedback from users who are also using Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) or taking medications for Parkinson’s Disease, but we do not currently have clinical studies evaluating the glove’s interaction with these treatments.
We’re currently in the process of implementing an app where the vibration setting can be customized. However the default patterns are currently Regular VCR and Noisy VCR.
While designed with Parkinson’s in mind, we are exploring its potential for other conditions. At this time, its effectiveness for other diagnoses, such as Multiple Sclerosis or essential tremor, remains untested.
For Multiple Sclerosis (MS), there’s some emerging research around the use of vibration therapy, especially whole-body vibration, to help with muscle strength, coordination, and spasticity. However, these studies typically involve large platforms, not finger-based or localized devices like ours. That said, it’s possible that our glove could provide proprioceptive feedback or sensory stimulation that may be beneficial for some MS users — though this would still be considered experimental at this point.
